Wood Over Water
March 2011
In a collaboration between Emily Bowser and Leah Frankel, resident artists of the Vermont Studio Center were asked to contribute a small wooden sculpture. The wood pieces were then collected and attached to the bridge over the Gihon River. The wood pieces floated in the water while the movement of the river's current was transferred through the strings. This allowed the passersby too feel the energy of the current while standing on the bridge.
